About PSMA

The Pennsylvania State Marketing Association (PSMA) is "Marketing Our Future," by pursuing a new vision of excellence. We plan on transforming ourselves from a student organization into a professional business model through a focused and developed strategy. From this vision, we have taken a new approach by implementing our own four P's: Professionalism, Philanthropy, Productivity and Promotion. These 4 pillars provide the primary focus for all of our endeavors in serving our stakeholders.

Through our internal research, we have identified our target stakeholders as our Associates (members of PSMA), Corporate Clients, Faculty Consultants, the Smeal College of Business, American Marketing Association, our Alumni and The Pennsylvania State University. These stakeholders have contributed greatly to our success in the past and now, looking toward the future, we hope they will do the same.

While executing our new business model we hope to address the issues that have arisen in our organization throughout the years, including membership involvement, presence on campus and utilizing our capabilities as future marketers to our stakeholders. Each event and activity that we will plan for this year will assist our goal in overcoming these obstacles.

PSMA is currently structured into four deparments that coincide with our mission statement.

Our mission: To engage our Associates with Professional, Philanthropic, Productive and Promotional, opportunities in the field of marketing, while maintaining a strong focus on our most important P, People.
